Hand protection during midstream activities in the energy industry

Midstream work, which refers to the storage and transportation of oil (pipelines/ducts, railways, pipes/trucks) after production, represents a potential danger to the hands and bodies of personnel, so it is important to consider PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) designed to repel fluids and chemicals, as well as resist abrasion, high temperatures and impacts.

Ansell offers several solutions in gloves and protective suits for various hazards that may occur and should be considered by those responsible for Industrial Safety and Hygiene in companies.

a) Thermal protection:

ActivArmr® 43-216 is a heat-resistant industrial glove, offering high levels of durability, control and protection from heat, flames, sparks and punctures. Provides EN12477 Type-A protection for demanding welding and thermal work.

b) Abrasion and cut protection:

HyFlex® 11-727 is an abrasion resistant glove that offers excellent flexibility and fit with high levels of cut protection. EN Level 4 abrasion protection for increased glove durability.

c) Chemical Protection:

RINGERS® 075 R is a long cuff glove with a patented PVC coating that is waterproof, chemical resistant and protects against impacts and cuts.
