Understanding Nitrile RABS & Isolator Gloves
Nitrile is a synthetic, non-solvent based, FDA approved polymer and is an ideal material for parenteral drug manufacturing. With excellent antistatic properties preventing the buildup of static electricity, Nitrile is ideal for use with solvents and powders. Nitrile can withstand temperatures of up to 120°C and is autoclave compatible. It can also be sterilized by Gamma Irradiation and sanitized with Vaporised Hydrogen Peroxide (VHP) and Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).
BioClean™ Nitrile RABS & Isolator gloves are washed, processed and packaged within a cleanroom environment, ensuring the gloves are an ultra-low contamination risk before being introduced into the isolator glove box. Resistant to chemical hazards of varying severity (including cytotoxins), BioClean™ gloves are also powder- and latex-free, resulting in greater resilience and a lesser risk of Type IV latex allergies. Their optimal comfort levels are coupled with a robust nitrile formulation that can withstand punctures and tears, making them the obvious choice for workers who require reassurance and genuine peace of mind.

Enhanced Durability and Autoclave Compatibility
Our BioClean™ Nitrile RABS & Isolator Gloves now support up to 15 autoclave cycles at 121°C for 30 minutes — a substantial increase from the previous 1-2 cycles. This enhancement significantly extends the gloves' usable life, reduces waste, and lowers operational costs.
The gloves maintain robust properties without compromising the material integrity, offering superior protection and durability. This improvement is particularly beneficial in environments where sterilization and reusability are critical, such as sterile medicinal drug manufacturing.

The improved formulation of BioClean™ Nitrile RABS & Isolator Gloves boasts higher puncture resistance* and enhanced tensile properties*. These improvements ensure that the gloves can withstand rigorous use while providing excellent barrier protection against contaminants.

Sustainable Packaging Innovations
In our journey to minimize our ecological footprint, we've changed the packaging of our gloves by eliminating the Correx PP shipper case, switching to 100% recycled content cardboard, and changing the packing configuration from 40 pieces to 20 pieces per shipper case by removing the existing outer box. This has cut down approximately 674kg of polypropylene annually.
This new packaging approach aligns with our sustainability goals while preserving the gloves' cleanliness and integrity, ensuring a reduced environmental impact. Additionally, the introduction of 30% recycled content HDPE for the carton liner further demonstrates our commitment to sustainability.
Updated Regulatory Compliance and Artwork
To comply with new UK standards, all packaging for BioClean™ Nitrile RABS & Isolator Gloves will now feature the updated UKCA marking. This transition ensures that all products adhere to the latest regulatory requirements without any interruption in supply. The new artwork will be implemented by June 2024, maintaining compliance and supply chain efficiency.
This update also reflects our commitment to keeping up with regulatory changes and ensuring our products are always compliant with the latest standards.
Additionally, the wider packaging bag/shipper case has been implemented for 10'' and 12'' port size gloves to avoid folding of gloves and ensure quality integrity.
