4 January 2021 – Ansell Limited, a global leader in protection solutions, announces that on 31 December 2020 it completed the acquisition of the Primus brand and related assets that constitute the Life Science business belonging to Primus Gloves and Sanrea Healthcare Products (“Primus”). In addition, Ansell and Primus have entered into a long-term supply partnership.
Primus is an Indian manufacturer and marketer of gloves sold into the Life Science and Specialty Medical sectors and is one of the few global producers of long cuff gloves with strong brand recognition. “India is a fast growing global pharmaceutical manufacturing hub” says Darryl Nazareth, President Healthcare Global Business Unit at Ansell. “This acquisition increases our presence in this important market and provides us with the opportunity to further accelerate growth of our Life Sciences business.”
