February 23, 2023, Brussels, Belgium - Ansell, a global leader in protection solutions, is pleased to announce that it has joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) initiative as a participant. The UN Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with the Ten Principles of UNGC, and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ansell joins more than 15,000 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries in committing and aligning to the UNGC’s ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

In recent years, Ansell has achieved milestone goals and accelerated our existing approaches to sustainability as we stay true to our purpose at Ansell: Thinking of People and Planet First. We also continuously align and evolve our sustainability priorities and ambitions with international frameworks, such as SBTi’s Corporate Net Zero Standard and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Core Conventions. Joining the UNGC reinforces our dedication to responsible business action in line with global sustainability goals. As a UNGC participant, Ansell will continue to annually communicate our commitment to support and uphold the Ten Principles and our progress against responsible business and broader societal goals in our sustainability reports.
