Hand injuries are some of the most common workplace injuries, and Ansell offers a variety of solutions to protect against hazards that are present in almost any industry. Some of the most common include safety gloves that provide resistance to cuts, abrasions, impacts, and chemical exposures. In addition to selecting the right protection, it’s important to find the correct glove size to ensure optimal levels of comfort and tactility. Glove size corresponds to the circumference of your palm in inches, so all you need to measure your size is a tape measure.
Once you have a tape measure, start by wrapping it around the widest part of your palm that’s just below the knuckle and excludes your thumb. For this measurement, it’s best to use your dominant hand.
Based on your measurements, you'll see the numerical size, as well as the corresponding letter size:
- If your hand measures 6.5 - 7 inches, choose size 7, Small.
- If your hand measures 7.5 – 8 inches, choose size 8, Medium.
- If your hand measures 8.5 – 9 inches, choose size 9, Large.
- If your hand measures 9.5 – 10 inches, choose size 10, XL.
- If your hand measures 10.5 – 11 inches, choose size 11, XXL.
Below you'll see a visual guide on how to measure your palm as well as the size breakdown.
