Ansell Limited appoints an additional Non-executive Director

Ansell Limited (ASX: ANN), announced today that Mr John Bevan will join the Ansell Board with effect from 1 August 2012. Mr Bevan’s appointment follows an international search commissioned by Ansell in consideration of its Board succession planning program and to augment the existing skills and business experience of the current Board. Mr Bevan is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Alumina Limited. Prior to joining Alumina Limited in June 2008 he had a long career with the BOC Group Plc where he was a member of the Board of Directors and held a variety of senior management positions in Australia, Korea, Thailand, Singapore and the UK.

In announcing the new appointment, Ansell’s Chairman, Peter Barnes said “We are delighted that John Bevan has agreed to join the Ansell Board. John’s business experience and extensive international background, which covers many of the regions in which Ansell operates, will further strengthen our Board and complement our existing expertise as we pursue our global growth objectives”.
