Description

  • Optimized durability: Its patented multi-layer fabric, featuring butyl rubber, Viton™ and aramid ensures excellent chemical resistance and outstanding permeation times*, as well as heightened durability
  • Specialized defenses: This abrasion-resistant full protective suit has also been PyroMan™ tested to limit burn injuries and is ATEX approved for use in explosive atmospheres
  • Genuine versatility: It is also designed to fit on top of all major SCBA brands and bottle sizes, for truly practical, multipurpose, specialist personal protective equipment

Design features

Type CV: Encapsulating design with hump and visor, breathing apparatus worn inside the suit.

Type VP1: Encapsulating design with hump and larger visor, breathing apparatus worn inside the suit.

Seams: Stitched with aramid thread for superior strength and durability. Covered with a Viton rubber tape on the outside and a welded-on barrier laminate tape on the inside.

  • VISOR AND FACE SEAL • Visor made from rigid 2 mm impact and chemical resistant PVC • Comes in two optional sizes; CV or the larger VP1 • Covered by a replaceable, antistatic Tear-off/ATEX lens;
  • VENTILATION A ventilation system is included as standard. For the safety of the wearer, it provides a constant level of overpressure inside the suit. The AlphaTec&#174; Regulating valve has 3 ventilation rates (2, 30 and 100 l/min) plus zero/off position. CEJN 221 male coupling for connection to the SCBA (requires separate connection hose). Two AlphaTec&#174; Exhaust valves in the back of the hood.
  • ZIPPER AlphaTec&#174; HCR zipper, which includes a barrier film for increased chemical resistance. The zipper is closing downwards, for added safety, and is protected by a splash guard/flap.
  • GLOVES AND ATTACHMENTS 2-part system with AlphaTec&#174; 02-100 barrier inner glove and AlphaTec&#174; 38-628 Viton™/Butyl rubber glove. The gloves are attached with the AlphaTec&#174; Bayonet glove ring system, which offers quick and simple glove exchange. NFPA 1991(1990) certified suits have a 3-part glove system with the above plus the AlphaTec&#174; 58-800 Overglove for additional cut protection.
  • FOOTWEAR AND ATTACHMENTS Sewn-in socks/booties made of the suit material. Alternatively attached black nitrile rubber safety boots with European approval as Firemen’s boots. The boots are fixed with an ergonomically designed ring attachment, for simplified boot exchange. NFPA 1991(1990) certified suits have sewn-in socks.
