Honouring Indigenous Peoples on International Day: Ansell Partners with ONELAND for Cultural Program

August 9, 2023, New South Wales, Australia - In celebration of the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, Ansell is proud to announce its partnership with ONELAND for its First Nations Cultural Teachers, Dance and Didgeridoo program. As part of the Australian Indigenous Program, Ansell captured one of the program's highlights, a traditional dance session for the community on 25th - 30th June 2023 at Collarenerbri Public School in New South Wales, showcasing a vibrant celebration of Australia's rich Indigenous heritage.

The event provided an opportunity for community members to engage with and learn from the rich cultural heritage of Australia's First Nations People. Participants will have the chance to witness captivating dance performances and experience the rhythmic sounds of the didgeridoo, a traditional Indigenous musical instrument.

Through this collaboration, Ansell aims to raise awareness and promote understanding of Indigenous culture, honoring the beauty and diversity of Australia's First Nations People. The event marks a significant step in Ansell’s ongoing partnership with ONELAND, and more initiatives are in the pipeline.

"We are thrilled to partner with ONELAND on this International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples," said Tristan Beranger, Head of Sales ANZ at Ansell. "Our Australian Indigenous Program is dedicated to supporting and preserving Indigenous culture, and we are excited about the positive impact this partnership is already having on communities."

In 2021, Ansell launched an Australian Indigenous Program to provide financial support to established programs that improve the lives of Australia’s First Nations People and align with Ansell’s values. After receiving numerous applications, ONELAND has been selected as the recipient of funding for the first two years of this program. By participating in the First Nations Cultural Teachers, Dance, and Didgeridoo playing as part of its partnership with ONELAND, Ansell aims to raise awareness about the richness and diversity of Indigenous cultural practices.
