Specialized protection: The AlphaTec BSL4 gas-tight protective suit is specially designed for Level 4 Biological Safety Laboratories, providing protection against infectious agents like bacteria, viruses and fungi, as well as radioactive particles. Additionally, it offers protection against chemicals in liquid, aerosol and solid forms.

VISOR AND FACE SEALExtra large, wide vision visor (type VP1), made from a soft 1 mm transparent PVC.
VENTILATION• Airline Passthrough: A swiveling airline passthrough - the AlphaTec® BSL4 valve - placed on the right-hand side of the suit. The passthrough is fitted with a handle for adjusting the air flow & a low-flow warning whistle
• External connection to air source: The airline passthrough is externally threaded for fitting of a HEPA filter and/or an air-line hose (not included).
• Air Distribution: Air is distributed in front of the visor as well as into sleeves and legs. Excess air is ventilated through six (6) exhaust valves in the back of the hood & shoulders. The exhaust valves are fitted in a splash protective pocket.
• Air Supply System: The air supply source, mobile or stationary, shall have a working/inlet pressure of 3.0 - 5.0 bar (44 - 73 psi). Air Flow is adjustable by the user and operates between 250 – 515 liter/min.
NOTE: The delivered air shall fulfill the requirements for breathing air according to local regulations.
ZIPPERHeavy duty gas-tight zipper coated with PVC. Placed on the front left-hand side of the suit to facilitate donning and doffing. Closes downwards to give the wearer the possibility to check zipper position (closed or open). D-rings are fitted to either end of the zipper, for better grip and easy opening and closing.
GLOVES AND ATTACHMENTSGloves are not fitted upon delivery, but the suit should be used with biological and chemical protective gloves. The suit is fitted with a rigid plastic ring (small ring for size S-M / large ring for size L-2XL), over which the glove is pulled and then secured with waterproof tape or a rubber band.
FOOTWEAR AND ATTACHMENTSWelded-in socks (without boot flaps) made from the suit material. Alternatively attached PVC safety boots approved according to EN 20345. The boots are fixed with an ergonomically designed ring attachment, for simplified boot exchange.
