This past April, Ansell worked with the office of New Jersey State Representative Chris Smith on providing donations of much needed personal protection equipment (PPE) to the State Troopers Fraternal Association of New Jersey (STFA)  and the Health Care Professionals and Allied Employees of New Jersey (HPAE). These two organizations represent state police officers and healthcare professionals on the front lines of fighting the spread of COVID-19 in the state of New Jersey, where Ansell’s Americas headquarters are located.   

Because their PPE supplies were dangerously low, the STFA and the HPAE put out a call for gloves, gowns and other PPE.  Representative Chris Smith then put Ansell in touch with these two organizations so that donations could be arranged.  

“We’d like to thank Congressman Smith for his initiative in cutting through the red tape to get supplies to first responders,” said STFA President Wayne Blanchard. “We’d like to thank our partners in the business community, particularly Ansell, for supporting our first responders during this unprecedented pandemic.”

"As COVID-19 continues to spread across New Jersey, PPE is needed in every hospital, nursing home and healthcare facility,” said HPAE President White. “We are grateful for Congressman Smith's efforts to bring these supplies to front line caregivers. These supplies from Ansell will help to ensure that healthcare workers stay healthy and on the frontlines of the COVID-19 battle." 

Ansell is honored to support the STFA and HPAE by donating  gloves and protective suits to help protect healthcare professionals and state troopers as they protect the state of New Jersey.
