Ansell Textiles Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. (ATL), our Seeduwa-based Sri Lankan facility, has proudly received a Silver Award at the Green Productivity Awards 2021. This latest accolade was attributed by the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Quality and Productivity (SLAAQP) at a ceremony held on 14 October at The Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo. A host of organisational representatives from both the private and public sectors attended the event.

The event’s official Guest of Honour was Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Representative for Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Vimlendra Sharan, while the Chief Guest was Indonesian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Ms. Dewi Gustina Tobing.

This was the country’s first award ceremony for green productivity, with the objective of recognising and promoting organisations engaged in productive enterprises, which actively conserve finite natural resources and protect the environment. Award recipients were assessed on the basis of ‘environmental sustainability, enhanced productivity, sustainable innovation and social contribution’. As a responsible multinational company, ATL will continue its work safeguarding people, product and planet, and remain a committed and responsible entity with regard to corporate and environmental sustainability.
