TUFF on the outside, soft on the inside
Our TouchNTuff® 83-300 and 83-500 polyisoprene gloves are now manufactured using PI-KARE™ technology, an innovative skin-friendly, non-sensitizing PI formulation. This formulation eliminates the use of standard chemical accelerators known to cause Type IV chemical allergies and sensitivities and uses only biologically safe chemical accelerators which are kinder to the skin, minimizing any incidence of skin-related allergic reactions.
LOWER ALLERGENIC PROFILE
ZDiNC is an advanced long side chain carbamate that stays within the glove, with better tolerance to skin. (Approved by German BfR (Bundesinstitut fur Risikobewertung: Federal Institute for Risk Assessment) for the manufacture of baby teats, toys and toy balloons.*
- Chemicals eliminated include traditional carbamates.
- Formulating without carbamates eliminates copper staining.
- Continues to be free from diphenylguanidine (DPG), cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) and casein.
Independently tested for sensitizationHuman Repeat Insult Patch Test (HRIPT) of n=200 completed in July 2018 in US (as per modified Draize Test) CONCLUSION: Showed no evidence of inducing clinically meaningful irritation or contact sensitization in healthy, human subjects with no previous history of sensitization. * *Test data on file |
ERGONOMIC COMFORT & FIT
The product formulation featuring PI-KARE™ Technology is softer and more comfortable and the gloves have been tested by an independent third party, United States Ergonomics. Based on tests performed in a controlled lab environment, the glove was awarded the ergonomics certification after meeting the threshold of forearm and hand effort below 20% MVC (muscle value contraction) of muscle effort.
Significant improvement to the modulus, resulting in a softer, ‘stretchier’ glove with higher elasticity compared to the old formulation, helps reduce muscle strain and stress on hands especially during long processes. When compared to Ansell’s natural rubber latex (NRL) gloves, these softer PI gloves are superior in comfort, demonstrating a significantly lower force of resistance to hand and finger movement.

UNSURPASSED DURABILITY COMBINED WITH SENSITIVITY
With new technologies, some PI gloves can be made stronger without compromising on the thinness, durability or softness of the glove resulting in a thin glove with high tear strength and tear resistance and greater user comfort especially during long procedures.
Unique to Ansell, this glove technology goes beyond delivering safer, skin-friendlier PI gloves. The TouchNTuff® range featuring PI-KARE™ Technology delivers the added advantage of a stronger, softer glove your operators want and need.
