19 May 2017 – Melbourne, Australia – Ansell Limited (ASX:ANN), a global leader in protection solutions, today announces the appointment of Mrs. Christina Stercken as an independent non-executive Director, with effect on 1 October 2017. Mrs. Stercken was invited to join the Board of Ansell Limited as an independent non-executive Director and a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee and the Risk Committee as part of the ongoing Board succession plan.
Mrs. Stercken is currently a Partner with EAC Euro Asia Consulting, a management consultancy firm specialising in internationalisation strategies, M&A and operational excellence. Mrs. Stercken has previously held senior management positions with Siemens AG both in Europe and China, including Managing Director, Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions globally. She started her career in Marketing with BMW Pvt Ltd, South Africa. Mrs. Stercken is currently a non-executive Director of Ascom Holding AG and is the Vice Chairman of the Myanmar/Amara Foundation, a not for profit organisation supporting social projects in Myanmar. Mrs. Stercken holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Economics and Business Administration and a Masters’ Degree in Economics from the University of Bonn, Germany and an Executive MBA from Duke University, USA.
