Ansell Xiamen has expanded on-site medical care for its workforce with the opening of a new nurse station.

Taking care of employees' health and well-being is a top priority for Ansell. The new nursing station is staffed by a dedicated trained nurse. Previously, and trained first aiders in every workshop provided medical care when needed.

In the case of an emergency, first aid treatment was given to stabilize the patient, who was then taken to nearby hospital for further treatment. Due to the increasing headcount at Xiamen and COVID-19 situation, the nursing station ensures a higher level of medical care for Xiamen employees. The new nursing station is part of Xiamen's long-term strategy to provide more employee amenities, leading to greater employee satisfaction.

With limited medical resources, visiting a doctor is often a time-consuming process in China. The nurse station serves as a "convenience store" for Ansell employees in Xiamen, who can access healthcare consultations in addition to emergency medical treatment. Medical experts from the partnered hospital also provide more in-depth consultants to Ansell employees, as needed.
